Job Title: Assistant, Marketing

A little bit about our team:

The Marketing department is the chief holder of information on the status of an individual project (record or DVD) scheduled to be released into the marketplace. Primary focus lies in discovering effective advertising avenues, market research, dissemination of useful information to fellow staff members and partner labels.

Your role:

The Warner Records Marketing Team is filled with diverse and hardworking individuals who are dedicated and passionate about building and supporting the artists they work on! As a Marketing Coordinator, you will work closely with the EVP of Marketing & Artist Development to help support marketing efforts and campaigns across the Warner Records roster of artists. You will have the opportunity to garner visibility into the rollouts of multiple artists (across genres), help with the creation of inter-departmental marketing decks, present forth developmental opportunities for our artists, plan events as well as handle administrative tasks such as: research, release scheduling, creating marketing materials and vendor sourcing - among other duties!

Here you'll get to:
  • Work across marketing initiatives for the EVP's Office in addition to supporting a Director of Marketing, handling administrative tasks such as: pulling consumption data, research (on a case by case basis), vendor sourcing, iteratively updating artist timelines, routing plaques for approval, notifying the team of pending artist drops, etc.
  • Develop a high-level understanding of Label Operations at Warner Records
  • Preparing materials for meetings, actively attend meetings, and jot/circulate recap notes
  • Pull, analyze and/or distribute weekly Mediabase, MusicConnect/Luminate, Pre-Order and Tableau reports - to be circulated across the Marketing Team as well as to respective Managers/Artist Teams as needed
  • Assist the EVP of Marketing and Artist Development in spearheading the creation of the weekly label-wide Marketing (Focus) Meeting agenda
  • Write copy for promotional assets including one-sheets, email blasts, highlights blasts, posters, print ads, etc.
  • Utilize your technical creative skills and coordinate with the Creative Department to create assets including graphics, print ads, event flyers/invitations, posters, stickers, foam cores, etc.
  • Attend company events and shows regularly
  • Plan and implement events including: in-office playbacks, performances, etc. by coordinating with outside vendors and venues, compiling and maintaining a budget, and being on-site to ensure all events run smoothly and efficiently
  • Serve as the liaison for the Marketing Team by communicating with all respective departments and assisting in the development of artist pitch decks
  • Liaise with 3rd party marketing and street team entities to create and distribute tools such as posters, stickers and t-shirts - helping to amplify the reach of our various marketing campaigns
  • Schedule product releases for those artists/projects that are currently unassigned

  • Exceptional attention to detail and extremely organized
  • Proven project Management skills - being able to prioritize and handle multiple projects/tasks at once due to your ability to multitask and work efficiently
  • Excellent and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to manage up and are comfortable holding others accountable
  • Solution-oriented and resourceful
  • Skilled note-taker with the ability to routinely process large volumes of information
  • Available for time-sensitive initiatives, and willing to work extended hours and work in-office on Fridays
  • Remain calm under pressure and are even-keeled
  • Responsive and clear over-communicator
  • Maintain levels of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion at all times
  • Optimist with notable positive energy and a welcoming demeanor
  • Collaborative teammate who is self-motivated and driven to succeed
  • Strong research, critical thinking, and analytic skills
  • Creative and proficient in Canva, MailChimp, Adobe Photoshop, etc.
We'd love it if you also had:
  • A background in Marketing (either having a Degree in the field or 1+ year of relevant work experience within the music and/or entertainment industry)
  • An interest in learning about the overall operations of a Record Label
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Gmail)
  • Professional experience using Social Media, and knowledge/foresight of trends
  • Your own network of industry and creative contacts
  • Connections in the culture and relationships with external entities/brands that could yield developmental opportunities for artists across the roster

Salary Range

$17.95 to $22.00 Hourly

Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
