Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Marketing Manager in Oakland or Menlo Park, CA to lead strategic communications and project management across digital, content, and event marketing. This role will synthesize department activities, BD qualitative and quantitative information, and consultant activities to provide a comprehensive view of department ROI. This role will also engage in partnership marketing and may be client facing.

You will be responsible for
  • Learning about Exponent's complex scientific and engineering consulting business.
  • Understanding our clients' needs and challenges.
  • Assisting consultants in expanding their client networks and aligning their activities with Business Development and marketing efforts.
  • Marketing to legal market clients and developing CLEs and webinars.
  • Building relationships within the legal market.
  • Interviewing consultants and industry experts to analyze market trends.
  • Considering market size and its influence on tactical priorities.
  • Initiating, driving, and managing tactical priorities across the team as needed.
  • Presenting compelling narratives that enhance the department's objectives.
  • Creating reports and leveraging data to assess the impact of marketing activities at both strategic and campaign levels.
  • Providing strong project management for content, events, and digital campaigns as needed.
  • Coordinating efforts across various segments of the Business Development department.
  • Leading a team effectively.
You will have the following skills and qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communication, journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data.
  • 10+ years of marketing experience.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic marketing plans, partnership marketing, account-based strategies, and B2B programs.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire people (minimum 5 years of people management experience).
  • Experience working in the legal industry.
  • Understanding of legal marketing, including account-based, partnership, event, digital, and content tactics.
  • Understanding of legal PR.
  • Ability to analyze risk.
  • Excellent judgment.

Compensation

The pay rate for this position is dependent on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.

Salary Range

USD $125,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.
