Location/Hours: ~24 hours per week, 3 days in our Downtown SF office, and 1 day remote.

We are looking for an out-of-the-box thinker that has experience executing clever strategic marketing plans, campaigns, and tactics to drive awareness, trial, and loyalty for our restaurant brands. We are looking for an outgoing digital and social media marketer that is up to date on the latest trends, techniques, and is a natural in front of the camera. The ideal candidate is a social media connoisseur, eager to learn, and is ready to contribute from day one. We operate in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and rewarding environment. This position reports to the Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Content Creation and Strategy
  • Coordinate and produce social content across TikTok and Instagram.
  • Create 3-5 TikToks/Instagram Reels weekly, using a "brand-appropriate (non-corporate) voice" to foster authentic, interactive relationships with guests.
  • Assist with developing social content strategy, focusing on telling MIXT's brand story through engaging creative and messaging.
  • Explore and report on new channels and new social opportunities for the company.

Content Calendar and Copywriting
  • Assist the Marketing Manager in managing the content calendar to ensure timely execution.
  • Develop and write blog and LinkedIn posts to enhance SEO.

Community Engagement and Influencer Outreach
  • Oversee community engagement, including responding to DMs, comments, tagged photos, brands, and influencers on all social platforms.
  • Reach out to influencers for specific campaigns, fostering relationships and expanding audience reach through geo-targeting.

Collaboration and Partnerships
  • Build relationships with local businesses and universities for collaborative giveaways and neighborhood activations to create brand enthusiasts.

Social Media Analysis and Competitive Monitoring
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor social media metrics to track campaign success and uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with new social platforms, tools, and competitors; monitor industry leaders for insights and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in the premium fast-casual space.

Digital Profiles Management
  • Update images and posts on Google Business, Yelp, NextDoor, and future channels.
  • Leverage all available features and functions to enhance the brand's digital presence.

Trend Awareness
  • Actively consume digital and social content to keep the brand ahead of competitors and informed on industry and societal trends.


Required Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree required, preferably in marketing, business, communications, or related field.
  • Experience using video editing platforms such as Canva, Capcut, or TikTok.
  • Knowledge of social media channels including content creation, posting, and reporting.
  • Experience with Dropbox and Asana is a plus.


Required Competencies:
  • Strong attention to detail, ranging from ensuring that the food always looks craveable to catching spelling and grammatical errors.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Creativity and problem-solving attitude.
  • Comfortable being in content pictures and videos.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work productively and independently, while being proactive in asking questions and pursuing answers.
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye toward prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
