Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Craft a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the organization's goals, objectives and programming
- Develop high-quality, engaging and culturally relevant content evergreen and tentpole that reflects the organization's voice and mission across priority social platforms
- Build and foster deeper relationships between followers and brand
- Collaborate with Marketing & Communications and department leads to create and execute social media campaigns that support department initiatives, exhibitions, events and fundraising efforts
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance, using insights to refine strategy and optimize content to increase engagement and growth
- Keep up with social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure cohesive and holistic representation of the department and organization on social platforms
- Identify and build relationships with influencers, content creators, and communities to increase visibility and expand reach
- Develop, manage, create and execute social media content strategies
- Ensure brand's voice is consistently represented in all content
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and improvements
- Collaborate with marcomms to plan and execute paid social media campaigns as appropriate
- Operate standard office equipment and use required software applications
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge of:
- Social media best practices including content creation, platform management, and audience engagement strategies
- Photo, video, and social asset production experience
- Social media publishing, listening, and reporting
- Social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Sprout Social)
- Knowledge of Arab American history and culture is a plus
- Proficiency in Arabic is a strong plus
- Experience with paid social is a plus
- Experience with social commerce is a plus
- Photo, video, and social asset production experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a passion for storytelling
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for design
- Strong understanding of the latest trends in social media
- Solution-oriented person who takes initiative to provide/or search for answers to issues
- Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications for program area and other applications, including Microsoft Office
- Engage with followers and respond to comments and queries in a timely manner
- Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews
- Foster relationships with key influencers and brand advocates
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum Degree Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- Required Disciplines:
- Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- At least 3-5 years' experience managing social media platforms for an agency, band or culture institution, or any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training approved by Human Resources
