Title: Associate Media Director Location: NY/ hybrid Salary: Depends on experience. Up to 120K. Associate Media Director (AMD) Our client, a rapidly growing media agency is seeking a strategic thinker with a passion for driving exceptional results in digital media. Ideally, they are looking for an experienced Associate Media Director (AMD) to join a dynamic and fast-paced team. In this role, the AMD will lead the planning, execution, and optimization of strategic digital media campaigns across platforms, ensuring quality, innovation, and measurable success for clients. As part of a small, independent agency, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with multiple smaller clients, driving value while mentoring a team and fostering strong client relationships. Ideally located in NYC to go into office on occasion. Responsibilities: Develop comprehensive paid media strategies and execute multi-channel digital campaigns tailored to client objectives and goals. Conduct in-depth campaign analyses and deliver actionable insights through detailed reporting to drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with internal teams, including Biddable Media and Analytics, to integrate shared knowledge and champion a culture of feedback and learning. Manage campaign budgets and optimize media spend across platforms such as social, search, and programmatic. Negotiate with media vendors and maintain strong platform partnerships. Lead and mentor a team of 1–3 media planners and buyers, ensuring their growth and development. Build and nurture client relationships, serving as a strategic partner and delivering impactful presentations. Foster a culture of media expertise and shared learning within the agency to elevate overall team performance. Qualifications: Strong expertise in the digital media landscape, including a clear understanding of the media planning and buying process. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interpret client goals and translate them into effective media strategies. 5–7 years of experience in media planning and/or buying, with at least 3 years of experience in digital media. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentations. Experience managing multiple smaller clients and media budgets. Platform proficiency (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, The Trade Desk, TikTok). Familiarity with marketing analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and Looker. Strong project management skills and experience with tools like Asana. Knowledge of programmatic advertising and a mix of digital and traditional media expertise. Familiarity with research and planning tools (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, MRI, comScore) is a plus. #LI-HE1
