Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor is currently searching for a Social Media Specialist to join our team!
The Social Media is responsible for creating and managing compelling social media and communications (internal & external) content that amplifies our brand presence, drives engagement, and fosters meaningful connections with our audience.
All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.

Job Duties
- Collaboratively and independently develop monthly editorial write, review, and edit engaging content (social, website blog, some internal communications, etc.), guaranteeing strategic messaging, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Manage daily content for our social media channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.
- Community management including monitor social media conversations, traffic, and trends using social media listening tools.
- Collaborate with Public Relations agency Influencer leads and coordinate all onsite activities with operations.
- Partner other marketing team members to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with Allegiant Air on social media, communications and engaging
- Design and implement organic and paid social media campaigns.
- Manage Location Agreements related to Social Media/Influencer Photo and Video Shoots for 3rd Parties
- Confident in creating presentations with social media and influencer data and presenting to stakeholders those strategies for increased web traffic.
- Provide social media coverage of onsite events and activations (may include some weekends & holidays)
- Engage with and identify growth opportunities for our target audiences across all social media channels.
- Monitor social media performance by tracking metrics and analyzing campaign and messaging effectiveness.
- Support the Marketing Team in evaluating and establishing the marketing plan and strategy by assembling and analyzing sales forecasts, setting objectives, planning and organizing presentations, and updating calendars
- Continually seek and research new sources of prospective customer data, and provide recommendations to sales and marketing leadership
- Effectively communicate to other team members marketing promotions and objectives
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and exercise discretion and independent judgment when evaluating new programs, new services and new ideas
- Stay abreast of property goals in order to create, support and present departmental goals to executive leadership
- Continue to learn and be on the forefront of new technology for the hotel industry and stay informed about the market, industry trends, and the competitive landscape
- Create ways to further enrich the guest experience by continuously reviewing, implementing and refining procedures to ensure every opportunity to offer extraordinary guest experiences while maintaining a culture of smiles, retention of luxury standards
- Proactively seek guest feedback and liaise with other departments when opportunities present themselves ensuring a seamless and elevated guest experience
- Manage guest requests and own all complaints; resolve issues immediately and follow up to ensure the guest's satisfaction
- Develop collaborative relationships and synergy with all support departments such as Convention Sales & Services, Facilities, Security, Front Services, Front Office, F&B, Golf Course and Executive Offices
- Ensure all accounting, payroll and employee relations matters are handled in compliance with company policy
- Perform other functions as needed

- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Hospitality is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related experience
- 1+ years of resort/hospitality experience
Other Minimum Requirements
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Experience managing social media and web site content
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs and Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent customer service skills
- Comfortability working independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools
- Successful track record in development and execution of digital campaigns
- Creative mind and likes to think out of the box and bring new ideas but knows how to stay on task and get things finished.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills including writing long-form and short-form copy for e-commerce sites and other media channels.
- Experience working with budgets and forecasting.
- A strong multi-tasker who enjoys working on several projects at a time
- Ability to work with, analyze and present campaign performance data with a proven track record of using this to track KPIs for successful, performance-based marketing Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines.
- Must possess mature personal discretion and sound judgment.
- Strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, superior problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and project management skills, with particular attention to quality and detail
- Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
