About the Role
MWH is seeking a motivated Social Media Coordinator to lead our social media presence and content creation efforts. This role involves developing and executing engaging strategies across various platforms and producing high-quality visual and video content.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a strong understanding of social media trends, excellent design and video editing skills, and proven leadership abilities.

Essential Functions
Social Media Management:
- Work with Marketing, Proposal, Business Development, and Talent Acquisition teams to develop and implement social media strategies to enhance MWH’s brand visibility and engagement across various platforms.
- Develop campaigns that support recruiting efforts by highlighting our projects, company culture, employee stories, and advertising open positions to help showcase MWH as an employer of choice in the industry.
- Write, edit, and create content that is consistent in brand messaging, adheres to MWH’s brand guidelines, and is in line with other marketing and business development initiatives.
- Own the MWH social accounts and manage social media content calendars, ensuring timely effective communication of key messages.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
Content Creation:
- Design visually appealing graphics and marketing materials for social media and other channels (website, email, etc.).
- Assist in producing high-quality video content, including short-form videos, animations, and potentially longer-form content.
- Write clear, concise, and engaging copy for social media posts, website updates, and marketing materials.
Marketing Support:
- Collaborate with the marketing team on various marketing initiatives.
- Assist with website updates and content management.
- Support the development of marketing campaigns and promotional materials.
- Contribute to the overall marketing strategy and goals.
Basic Qualifications
- Proven experience growing social media accounts, especially on Linkedin, Youtube, and Instagram.
- Excellent writing and video editing skills.
- Mindful of public relations implications of content.
- Entrepreneurial, creative mindset and highly organized.
- Knowledge of SEO and content marketing best practices.
- Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research.
- Good understanding of social media KPIs.
- AS or BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience, skills, and training.
- Minimum of 4 years of marketing experience, with a strong focus on social media management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest or experience in the construction industry, particularly water/wastewater treatment.
- Passion for learning and identifying new ways to display information and implementing new technologies to differentiate from competitors.

Compensation
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $70,000 - $80,000, based on experience.
