Position Title: Social Media Coordinator

Department: Marketing

FLSA status: Exempt


Summary:

We are looking for a talented social media coordinator who lives and breathes social. This means you love everything about Instagram, Facebook and Tik-Tok and know how to create and maintain a strong online presence. This SMC role will help implement our online marketing strategies through our different social media accounts. The SMC is a tech-savvy professional with an interest in communicating with clients through online channels. The SMC will help develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract more customers and promote our brands. Ultimately, he/she should be able to increase web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to write for a number of different deliverables: social media posts, emails, social strategies and the occasional press release.
  • You will design posts to sustain readers curiosity and generate buzz around new products and specials
  • Able to understand marketing KPI's while adhering to budgets and timelines for projects.
  • Understanding social media metrics per platform; ability to monitor and analyze results as well as incorporate learnings into content strategy.
  • Stay up to date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness.
  • Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries.
  • Report on online reviews and feedback from customers and fans.
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
  • Suggest new ways to attract prospective customers, like promotions and competitions

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven work experience as a Social media coordinator in Hospitality Industry
  • Expertise in social media publishing platforms and email platforms such as (Later, MailChimp, Hootsuite)
  • Basic photo and video skills
  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
  • Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Multitasking and analytical skills
  • BS degree in Marketing, New media or relevant field
