The Director of MS&P is responsible for leading a team of Managers in the paid media channel planning practical and holistic oversight of media buys across critical brands inside the Inspire portfolio. This individual will have shared ownership of responsibilities collaborating with brand-dedicated Managers of Media Strategy & Planning in the final alignment of media plans and ultimately the buying, spanning across agency partners and through in-house Biddable teams. The role will also serve as the Demand Generation lead in managing the Inspire Media Optimizer (MO) process, media measurement architecture and synthesizing paid media investments across channels to correlate brand objective performance and to shape near and broader-term optimizations. RESPONSIBILITIES: Media Strategy & Planning (50%) Direct the management of the media AORs in the development and execution of national & local media buys Provide oversight and guidance as a key agency conduit to support brand media teams in managing the day to day national and local media process Oversee national and local media budgets with key finance stakeholders Provide thought leadership on marketplace trends and opportunities to innovate and experiment Work collaboratively with brand media managers to provide investment recommendations tied to landscape conditions and/or disproportionate impact opportunities Develop POVs on industry trends and partner evaluation Consultation and updates on briefs based on paid media learnings Manage key timelines, deliverables and output Oversee key vendor and media conglomerate relationships to better leverage scale and impact as One Inspire, yielding maximum value to all brands within the portfolio The Director will jointly support and help gain buy-in on all priorities and efforts from key executives and stakeholders Agency & Cross-Functional Internal Teams Collaboration (40%) Develop and partner with the media analytics team to measure impact of ongoing campaigns and overall plan Partner in the synthetization of measurement results to continually optimize and improve plans Test & Learn Support leveraging syndicated tools to evaluate media performance against business goals Provide consultation, implementation and recaps of weekly, monthly and quarterly performance to guide optimizations and future investments Provide quarterly support in designing and evaluating performance of tests for learning agenda Media Optimizer (MO) Lead for Demand Generation (10%) Serve as the Demand Generation team lead and representative of MO across brands Ensure data ingestion and processing occurs flawlessly and on schedule across all necessary landing points Engage and contribute in regular status meetings with internal D&A and Engineering teams as needed Present and/or represent output as needed to both internal and external stakeholders Serve as best practice lead and portfolio steward to ensure insights sharing occurs across brands and vertically, spanning National and Local media EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: 4 Year Degree EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION: 10 years of relevant experience in marketing and/or media Demonstrated experience in problem solving and managing multiple tasks REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES: Ability to lead teams and deliver results Excellent project management skills (proficiency in Excel/PPT/SharePoint will be key) Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet project deadlines Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to lead and influence others Personal integrity, humility, an appreciation for the power of true teamwork, and a sense of humor Passion for the restaurant industry and desire to train in our restaurants to learn operations.
