Adjunct Faculty - Media Arts
Chatham University is accepting applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty of Media Arts.
The Media Arts major provides the opportunity for students to develop creative, conceptual, and technical skills across coursework in film, photography, and graphic design, and fosters a critical awareness of contemporary, convergent media practices. Students are asked to become agents for change within the context of their discipline, asking critical questions about the impact of media in an increasingly global arena. Graduates will be prepared to assume roles in media arts production industries or pursue graduate programs in related fields.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Teaching introductory, intermediate, or advanced courses in the discipline.
- Holding regular office hours and maintaining professional communication with students.
- Consulting and collaborating with other faculty to align with departmental teaching needs.
- Participating in departmental events and university trainings for adjunct faculty.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an MFA or Ph.D. in Media Arts or closely related field (e.g., Art, Media Studies) OR extensive work experience in the field required.
- Candidates with a combination of academic and practical experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
- ABD-Ph.D. candidates are encouraged to apply.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience teaching and mentoring at a college level preferred.
- Experience working with/teaching diverse groups/diverse students is desirable.
