Starting base salary range for this position is $83,000-$93,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. Full benefits are available and this position is eligible for the Manager level annual bonus program.
Summary of Position:
AVIXA (Audiovisual & Integrated Experience Association) is looking for a Senior Manager, Social Media to join the dynamic team responsible for promoting InfoComm, the association's annual North America trade show. The Senior Manager, Social Media will develop and implement social media strategies, creating and managing content, and engaging directly, and through influencers, brand ambassadors and event partners, with the community. She/He/They will leverage emerging trends and technologies in social media to continuously improve reach and engagement as well as utilize AI tools for optimization and data analysis. This position reports to the Senior Director, Exposition Marketing.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on follower acquisition programs to drive growth and engagement.
- Strategize paid content marketing opportunities with relevant teams and external partners. Identify, vet, and manage creator and partner campaigns to extend and amplify InfoComm's messages.
- Write compelling copy that adheres to campaign messaging guidelines and tone.
- Establish and track KPIs via regular reports, providing actionable insights. Utilize AI for reporting automation and data analysis.
- Utilize AI-powered social listening tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Brand24) to monitor conversations, identify trends, and inform content strategies.
- Explore and evaluate emerging AI technologies in social media to continuously improve reach, engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
- Plan and schedule social campaigns for each platform optimized for peak engagement times.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Services department on large-scale collateral design.
- Engage in social listening through Hootsuite by tracking competitive events, relevant hashtags, and industry influencers to create relevant content and engage in timely conversations.
- Identify and stay up-to-date with new tools and strategies to achieve social media goals.
- Develop KPI and reporting structures exposition department meetings.
- Lead InfoComm's community building and content creation on AVIXA's Xchange network.
- Collaborate with the Exposition Marketing team to ensure organic and paid social media strategies jointly improve engagement and reach.
- Collaborate with Exposition Marketing team to identify on-site photography and videography needs to build creative asset library.
- Consult with internal teams to ensure all strategies, recommendations, and content align with emerging trends and best practices.
- Consult with internal communications team to respond thoughtfully and carefully to critical comments.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in event marketing and social media management
- Experience working with the major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube.
- Experience and a passion for integrating data into engagement decisions daily and working knowledge of analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Parse.ly, Chartbeat, social platforms, etc.)
- Previous employment at an association with trade show experience a strong plus
- Knowledge of the AV industry a plus
- Impressive written and verbal communication skills with experience developing distinctive messaging and content
- Exceptional command of spelling and grammar are a must
- Ambitious mindset with a demonstrated ability to bring ideas to fruition
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize own work
- Conscientious attention to detail with a keen eye for creativity, design, and new trends in marketing
- Comfortable working autonomously as needed, as well as cross-functionally in a professional and diplomatic fashion
- Problem-solving self-starter who seeks solutions and perseveres amid ambiguity
- Basic proficiency in Photoshop, or other design programs
- Experience working with a social publishing and management platform such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite
As needed to assist at InfoComm trade shows or conferences in the United States.
