Overview:

The Marketing/Social Media Coordinator is a creative individual with a positive and collaborative attitude responsible for connecting and engaging with AVCONs clients, targets, affiliates, and peers through designated social media outlets in a unique and meaningful way, as well as organizing and implementing a variety of marketing projects to support the Marketing Department. The primary focus of this role will consist of working collectively with AVCONs principals and staff to maintain and build AVCONs social media presence across all the firms channels, and drive traffic to the firms website. Responsibilities may also include, but not be limited to, public relations, special events management, advertising, and creating firm brand awareness, as well as preparation of status reports on social media and marketing efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (may include but are not limited to):

  • Day-to-day management of all social media accounts including, but not limited to, assisting with content generation and implementation of social media plans and procedures, completing research of market trends and analytics, implementing branding strategies, and posting and engaging with followers.
  • Represent the firms brand across all platforms and messaging.
  • Plan and execute social media calendar to ensure consistent, compelling messaging and programming.
  • Collaborate with principals and staff to brainstorm campaigns and conceptualize ideas.
  • Proactively drive influencer relationships and brand partnerships that can help create interesting content and engagement opportunities.
  • Use data insights to help the firm measure the impact and progress across all social channels and provide consistent and informed suggestions on how to improve the firms social media strategy.
  • Develop and maintain social analytics dashboard to evaluate and shape the social media strategy against objectives.
  • Drive traffic to AVCONs website through effective and engaging use of content.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating the Client Relationship Management (CRM) database.
  • Provide assistance to principals, project managers, senior marketing staff, and human resources in the fulfillment of AVCONs marketing and recruitment objectives as needed.
  • Coordinate the design and production of marketing materials and maintain/update generic marketing resources, team resumes, photo library and project information sheets.
  • Update and maintain current licenses and certifications, insurance, references, and project/industry awards.
  • Coordinate selection, inventory, and delivery of promotional items, holiday cards, and gifts.
  • Coordinate business development activities (scheduling meetings, preparing handouts, etc.), follow-up for notes and action items, and distribute information and important dates to appropriate parties.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of conferences and company events.
  • Participate in various community functions, pre-proposal meetings, trade shows, advertising, and special events as needed.
  • Nights and weekends are generally not required but may occasionally be necessary with little or no advanced notice.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Development, Journalism, Communication, or related field, preferred.
  • 1-3 years of related experience including digital marketing, preferably with familiarity managing multiple social accounts within the A/E/C industry.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite or other relevant graphic applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various digital communications and social media software and platforms, including Content Management Systems (CMS) and digital publishing tools, preferred.
  • Experience with analytics and driving continuous improvement in this area, as well as knowledge of digital trends and technology, preferred.
  • Previous experience with Customer Relationship Management software, preferred.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience working independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY, AND SKILLS

  • Ability to work independently with little/no supervision.
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and capacity to manage and prioritize multiple assignments/deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect privileged client and company information and documents appropriately.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work strategically, developing and implementing social media campaigns and activities.
  • Ability to problem solve, using investigative research and analytical skills to develop and implement solutions.
  • Ability to learn new innovations and software.
  • Understanding of digital audiences and fluency in best practices and techniques for digital communications.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Valid drivers license and maintenance of satisfactory driving record.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.

ENVIRONMENT

Work usually takes place in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting. Site visits may occasionally take place in an outdoor environment.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
