Your Role: The Environmental Multimedia Specialist provides customer support for the client in determining regulatory compliance as it pertains to RCRA-permitted TSDF, stormwater, and environmental sampling in accordance withAir Force, local, state, and federal regulations and Air Force and JBSA plans.

Responsibilities:

Primary duties include:

•Performs stormwater compliance duties including visual monitoring; stormwater sampling and transportation/shipping to analytical laboratories; and assistance with compliance determinations.

•Interacts with Water Quality Program Managers ensuring compliance with all industrial and municipal stormwater permits and plans.

•Performs RCRA compliance duties including routine inspections, groundwater monitoring and gauging, photo logging, and groundwater sampling and transportation/shipping to analytical laboratories.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Ideal candidate would be familiar with the following.

•Knowledge of Air Force Instructions (AFI) and other guidance documents and federal environmental regulations relevant to hazardous materials management, especially the most current TCEQ MSGP and MS4 Permits, RCRA HW Permit and Compliance Plan No. 50335, and Landfill 12 Remedial Action Plan.

•Working knowledge of stormwater and groundwater sampling and inspection methodologies.

•Training would be available for staff unfamiliar with some of these requirements.

•40-hour HAZWOPER is required for this position.

•Staff will require a medical physical and pass.

•Must be a United States Citizen

Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and perform activities that could potentially require the following: performing strenuous fieldwork under a variety of site and weather conditions; standing, crouching, and sitting to support coordination of hazardous waste management tasks, lifting and/or moving items weighing greater than 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Language & Communication Skills: Employee must have good written and oral communication skills; must be fluent in the English language - writing, reading, and speaking,

Other Skills: Experience with various software including but not limited to Adobe; Microsoft: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and data management systems.
