Part-Time

Purpose:
Provide high quality trauma-informed music therapy to survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence, addiction and their families.

- Provide support to other departments and staff.
- All employees must be familiar and compliant with the policies & procedures of the organization, and follow the guidelines of the employee handbook.
Therapy:
- Provide music therapy groups to survivors of addiction, sexual violence, domestic violence, human trafficking, child abuse, or incest, and secondary victims, planning for 5 groups/week.
- Provide individual and/or family music therapy to survivors, planning for an average of 6 appointments/week.
- Evaluate and develop services as needed to address emerging needs.
- Provide trauma-informed services to all survivors.
- Work closely with Advocates and other YWCA staff to ensure integration of programming, consistency, and comprehensive services across the continuum.
- Collaborate with other service providers, businesses, government, and/or stakeholders as needed to provide services to clients.
- Share information about services to obtain referrals.
- Research topics and emerging trends in the area of Addiction/Domestic Violence/Sexual Violence to enhance programs and ensure best practices.
- Ensure detailed and timely documentation of services in accordance with state standards and program guidelines.
- Maintain clinical records according to program and CARF accreditation standards.
- Assure maintenance of appropriate records for program outcomes.
- Ensure professional development training is met according to program and continuing education requirements.
- Work closely with other departments and staff.
- Other duties as assigned to meet service goals.
Education:
- Completed Master's Degree in Music Therapy.
- Board certified by the Certified Board for Music Therapists, and have the credential MT-BC.
- CPR and First Aid Certifications within 6 months of hire.
- Crisis Intervention Training.
