PCA Music Faculty
A Music Faculty member provides students with an excellent Bible-based music education. The Faculty member instructs students and prepares them for performances.
Provide Music Lessons
Prepare and teach music lessons from a Christian perspective and in relation to established patterns and the individual pupil's needs. Enter and prepare students for performance opportunities when appropriate. Provide one-on-one lessons before, during, and after school.
Manage Classroom or Studio
Ensure appropriate classroom and studio management. Complete assigned faculty duties and requirements. Arrange recitals and concerts.
Invest in Students
Evaluate student achievement in accordance with administrative guidelines. Promote character development in students by teaching life principles and by emphasizing glorifying the Lord with their abilities and talents. After assessing students' abilities, provide feedback to motivate students to improve.
Communicate with Parents and Coordinator
Communicate with parents and Music Coordinator regarding events and progress during lessons.
FLSA Status - Professional (Exempt)
Education
BA: Music (Required), PCC degree: Music Education
Work Experience
1+ years teaching music theory and/or lessons
Physical Requirements and Skills
Creativity, Discernment in managing situations, Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, Interpersonal Relationships, Microsoft Office, Multi-Tasking, Oral Communications, Physical stamina for classroom, Proficient in Music, Stress Management, Willing to learn department-specific programs, Written Communication
