Employment Status: Temporary Part-Time through January 15, 2025.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt/Hourly

Work Schedule: Working 20 hours or less per week.

Tuesday and Wednesday 10am-7:00pm;

Thursday 3:00pm-7:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)

Reports to: Priest

Summary

St. Brigid Catholic Church in San Antonio, TX, is seeking support for our Music Coordinator in the operation of the Music department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.

Position Responsibilities
  • Assist the Music Coordinator to plan and coordinate music for all weekend masses, holy days, weddings, funerals, and other parish events, ensuring a diverse and inclusive community by retrieving information from records, emails, minutes and other related documents.
  • Assist Music Coordinator by responding and resolving administrative inquiries and questions.
  • Assist the Music Coordinator with setting up for a variety of the parish choirs, including rehearsals, equipment, and other necessary materials. with a focus on fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Work closely with Music coordinator to prepare and schedule rehearsals
  • Collaborate with the Music coordinator to maintain organization of the rehearsal room and music area of the sanctuary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • English and Spanish preferred but not necessary, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate and motivate volunteer musicians and choirs.
  • Experience with computer software and Microsoft Office Applications
  • Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 30lbs.
