Job Summary
The Humanities Division has openings to teach Hybrid, Online or on campus sections of Music at multiple Jefferson Campuses.
Job Duties:
The primary responsibilities of these positions are to teach courses, maintain some office hours for mentoring and coaching students, success and retention activities, and utilization of a learning management system such as Blackboard for communication and feedback. May meet once or twice a week depending on class mode.
Please note that this is an adjunct pool. We will only contact applicants as needed for classes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Eighteen graduate hours in the teaching discipline and a Master's degree, or a Master's degree in the teaching discipline required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates who have experience with intersectional, inclusive instruction and with a demonstrated ability to incorporate diverse perspectives into teaching and student engagement are encouraged to identify those experiences in the application materials. Candidates should also have experience and sensitivity working with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to fostering an inclusive work and learning environment in which students from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and personal experiences are welcomed and can thrive.
This position requires the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment, which consists of frequent contact with a diverse constituency of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
