Description
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is currently accepting applications for Music & Youth Assistant. The Music & Youth Assistant, under the supervision of the Coordinator/Director, is responsible for leadership; music clubhouse operations; music clubhouse programming; administrative compliance; facility and child safety.
Music & Youth program helps youth experience the magic of music. Program provides instruments and staffing for free music lessons such as drums, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar and keyboard. Youth also learn how to record and produce their own music as well as form "garage bands". Employees use their music expertise to mentor teen participants and help them increase their self-confidence/self-esteem by teaching them to play instruments, perform on stage, and record music in the studio.
The Club Experience, provides over 31,000 youth each year with a safe, positive environment, supportive relationships, and opportunities to build the courage to dream. We nurture academic success, healthy lifestyles, good character, and workforce readiness.

Requirements
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree OR working towards completion of a degree, required. Music degree preferred.
- Minimum 6 months experience working with youth
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to work regular program hours
- Ability to work summer hours
- Ability to be a positive role model
- Ability to establish rapport and build relationships
- Ability to relate to at-risk youth
- Proficiency in at least one music instrument
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time
- Position requires driving personal vehicle and company vehicle. Candidate must have satisfactory driving record, valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance for operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties and to be covered under company insurance the requirement is for the employee to be a minimum of age 21
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of audio editing, audio engineering and recording
- Ability to teach music lessons
- Bilingual
- Work experience or knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club Movement (national and/or local Clubs) is an advantage
Pay & Benefits:
- Minimum Pay: $15.00 hourly
- Benefits: Eligible for Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay
