Job Summary/Description:

KGMB (CBS), KHNL (NBC) and K5 is seeking a Reporter/Multi-Media Journalist. Hawaii News Now is the state's dominant multimedia news organization. The successful candidate will offer Breaking News and Daily General Assignment reports each day for newscasts as well as across our digital platforms. Local knowledge of the islands is critical for this position as well as an Investigative Skillset and understanding of the communities HNN serves.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

- The successful candidate will provide lead-type stories for our newscasts. Shift will be determined.
- Candidates must be a great writer, communicators and must have strong communication skills to interact with our news anchors.
- Candidates must have strong LIVE REPORTING SKILLS as well as a DIGITAL FIRST mindset.
- Candidates must be able to sift through complicated issues and provide clarity to viewers and web users.
- Multi-tasking is key as you will be juggling many things at once. The successful candidate will be required to post stories on the station website and all social media platforms.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- We are seeking a reporter with at least 7 years of experience with strong Hawaiian knowledge
- Experience as an MMJ as well as in-studio experience
- Experience with ENPS and Edius editing is a plus.
- A college degree in journalism or related experience is required.
- Must be able to work extra hours, holidays, etc.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
