Position: Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF)
About the Role:
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a newly graduated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team as a Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) across multiple schools within our district. This full-time, supervised role is designed for an individual eager to gain valuable, hands-on experience while receiving guidance from a licensed speech-language pathologist. As an SLP-CF, you'll be supported in honing your clinical abilities and fulfilling the required hours to obtain full licensure.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students with various munication disorders, including issues related to articulation, language, fluency, and voice.
- Conduct assessments and screenings to evaluate student needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create individualized treatment plans and set measurable goals for each student.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress in line with district and state requirements.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of goals and objectives for students.
- Work in close partnership with teachers, administrators, and special education teams to foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
- Ensure timely and effective service delivery while managing a caseload of students.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and attend regular supervision sessions as part of the Clinical Fellowship process.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
- pletion of all clinical hours and coursework required for licensure.
- Eligibility or possession of ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP).
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Successful pletion of Clinical Fellowship hours.
- Strong organizational, munication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting with students, families, and school personnel.
- A strong desire to work with children and improve student outes.
- Experience or familiarity with the IEP process (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous school-based clinical experience or internships.
- Knowledge of augmentative and alternative munication (AAC) systems.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
