Producer & On-Air Talent (KXL-FM) Job at Alpha Media USA LLC in Portland

Alpha Media - Portland, OR is seeking a talented, professional full-time Producer/On-Air Talent with a great attitude and exceptional work ethic to produce and run programming for the FM news team of KXL 101.1. The ideal candidate must be able to work flexible hours and be open to additional shifts when necessary. News/Traffic reporting experience is a benefit. Other duties may include an on-air board shift, writing/producing news, sports, and traffic reports, and recording ad copy. In other words, all aspects of local broadcasting.

Responsibilities of this position may include the following

• Entertains and informs listener audience.
• Conducts on-air news/traffic reporting.
• Keeps traffic logs and transmitter readings.
• Recording & editing ads for commercial clients.
• Facebook, Twitter, and other social media posts as requested.
• Knowledge of the EAS system and legal requirements.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Requirements of this position may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• A minimum of one year of experience in board operation and update anchoring.
• Knowledge of all applicable FCC rules and regulations.
• Experience in digital editing software such as Adobe Audition.
• Strong digital audio editing skills.
• Ability to relate to the audience and have strong listener interaction.
• Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels.
• Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and adhere to strict deadlines.
• A valid driver's license is required for this position.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Preference may be given to candidates who have the above experience plus the following:

• Previous experience in the broadcast industry.
• Experience operating automation systems.
• Experience running radio automation systems, such as Wide Orbit.
• Experience working with WordPress, Facebook, and Twitter
