Reports to: Studio Coordinator and Regional Photography Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary: $24.00-$25.00 per hour starting.

Benefits: Paid Time Off, Health Insurance Options

Work Hours: Full time, 35 scheduled hours per week, with flexibility for up to 40 as occasionally needed.

Starting schedule: Thursday (1:00pm to 7:30pm), and Friday-Sunday (9:00am to 7:30pm)

Rebecca Rose Fine Portraits in Tallahassee, FL is looking for a portrait photographer (full time position) to join our team! We are located at 250 John Knox Rd STE 4, Tallahassee, FL 32303.

We are a fine art portrait studio, with five locations (soon to be six) in three (soon to be four) states! Our company's team is approximately 70 strong, and we are looking for someone who exhibits similar qualities to those found below.

Key Responsibilities

As a Portrait Photographer at Rebecca Rose Fine Portraits, your role will involve delivering exceptional portrait photography experiences for our clients. You will be responsible for posing clients, capturing stunning images, managing photo reveals, and maintaining an organized studio space. You will also build meaningful client relationships by delivering an outstanding luxury service, working collaboratively with our team to uphold the high standards of our brand. Client Engagement:

Greet clients warmly upon arrival and make them feel comfortable and valued throughout their entire session. Build rapport by understanding their needs and preferences, and explain the luxury portrait experience in detail.

Photography and Posing:

Use professional techniques to pose and position clients for their portrait sessions, ensuring flattering angles, appropriate lighting, and optimal settings for each image. Capture stunning images that reflect the clients' personalities and desires.

Image Management:

After each session, efficiently save and organize the captured photos for review and backup, cull the appropriate images and save to editing team folders.

Knowledge of Services:

Develop an expert understanding of the studio's luxury portrait services, and ensure you can communicate these effectively to clients during their session. Offer detailed information to create a seamless, informative experience, enhancing the premium nature of the service.

Studio Organization:

Maintain a clean, organized studio environment, ensuring that dressing rooms, reception areas, and photo spaces are tidy and welcoming. After each session, put away dresses, props, and other items used, ensuring they remain in pristine condition for future use.

Workplace Collaboration:

Collaborate with coworkers to maintain high standards in the studio. Be proactive in assisting others, engaging in constructive conversations to help achieve company goals. Contribute to an atmosphere of mutual support and teamwork.

Adherence to Company Protocols:

Learn and follow all scripts, workflows, and policies set by Rebecca Rose Fine Portraits. Adherence to these ensures consistency, quality, and an optimal client experience.

Professionalism & Positivity:

Be punctual, well-prepared, and organized for every shift. Maintain a positive, friendly demeanor that enhances both the client experience and the internal working environment. Show up each day with a solution-oriented, can-do attitude. Follow company dress code and self-presentation guidelines.

Assisting with Photography Sessions:

Serve as a backup photographer for portrait sessions as needed, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for clients. This includes acting in both the assisting role, and as the lead photographer (the roles are interchangeable, all studio staff are cross trained).

Constructive Feedback:

Participate in regular team meetings and discussions, offering and receiving routine constructive feedback to refine processes and improve output.

Qualifications and Experience:

Photography Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a professional portrait photographer (minimum of 2 years preferred, but not required).
  • Expertise in camera operation, lighting, composition, and posing techniques.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a strong ability to capture emotional, personal, and visually stunning portraits.
  • Must be comfortable working around dogs of all sizes and breeds (including large dogs), and children.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to make clients feel comfortable and confident.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shoots in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with families, children, or specific portrait niches such as maternity, senior portraits, or engagement sessions.
  • Familiarity with fine art portraiture and luxury photography services.
  • Strong understanding of client experience and service-oriented photography.
  • Ability to adapt to different creative directions and requests.
