Job Summary
This role is key to building our reputation for delivering excellent insights and support to our clients, while also using PR skills that apply a growing knowledge of media. It requires being a liaison between the client and the firm and managing staff resources to achieve project goals in a timely and effective way. Equally important, this person would be integral to account strategy and outcomes and would need to develop a deep understanding of client requirements, their budget and industry to lead client meetings and discussions.
In this role you will
- Exhibit a fine-tuned level of accuracy in overseeing press releases, advisories, client correspondence and media correspondence. To support these materials, he/she must
conduct the appropriate online research and leverage the existing knowledge of the firm
- Takes initiative in looking for opportunities to apply expertise and add value to projects
- Lead multiple projects while staying organized and keeping an affable attitude
- Develop, track and review client account timelines, as assigned
- Produce client progress reports, as assigned
- Arrange scheduling for meetings and interviews on Teams/Zoom for various client accounts
- Create and proof reports, press releases, content calendars, newsletters, and other written pieces for clients
- Assist with creating/updating media lists, some media pitching
- Conduct secondary research for client pitches and client teams
- Use meeting transcripts to create high-level notes for clients and internal teams
- Assist with project management on larger accounts, in conjunction with team leader
- Help plan meetings and events for clients
- Assist Lambert training staff with class preparation and materials
- Assist other team members with tasks, as assigned
The ideal candidate possesses the following
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Knowledge and agility using components of media and public relations that include: earned media, social media, cause marketing, experiential marketing/events, content development, crisis communication and social listening
- Demonstration of clear, effective written and verbal communication to fellow employees and clients
- Ease with office systems, online research, and consistent, accurate submittal of billable time
- Has confidence dealing with clients and handling difficult situations in a calm and effective manner
- Reliable in the role of top reserve liaison between the firm and any client
- Can manage complexity and heavier workloads without feeling unnecessary stress
Experiences
- 1-2 years of experience in Public Relations, preferably at an agency
Preferred education and experience
- B.A. degree in communication, journalism, media, public relations or related study
