Who We Are Looking For: Public Relations Manager
Job Summary: This role is pivotal in enhancing our public image, managing communications, and driving our charitable initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social causes, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in public relations and charity management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance the organization's image and visibility.
- Manage media relations, including drafting press releases, organizing press conferences, and responding to media inquiries.
- Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.
- Prepare and manage the public relations and charity budgets.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve strategies and tactics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (preferred, but relevant experience is accepted in lieu of a degree)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public relations, communications, or charity management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with social media management and content creation.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for social causes and community engagement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the non-profit sector.
- Certification in Public Relations (CPR) or similar credentials.
Additional Details:
- This position is in Downtown Houston, Texas 77002.
- The salary range is between $ 52,000 and $65,000.
Full-Time Benefits: After completion of a probationary period, you will be eligible for full-time company benefits.
- This is an on-site role. We do not offer remote or hybrid working opportunities.
- The ideal candidate must be available to start with two weeks of acceptance date.
