Overview

The Radio Frequency Engineer IV independently applies extensive and diverse knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. This position leads complex programs and leads in the development of standards and guidelines.


Responsibilities
  • Lead proposal generation in response to customer RFIs & RFQs which will include technical summaries, cost assessments, and schedule estimates, and support business development through trade show attendance and customer visits.
  • Responsible RF design engineer for SSPA (Solid state power amplifier) and high-power transceiver designs from UHF to KU band on programs.
  • Participate in hardware architecture decisions which affect RF architectures including RF amplification with high efficiency and linearization technologies, data interfaces and system peripherals.
  • Assist in the preparation of SBIR (Small Business Innovative Research) proposals for submittal to applicable government agencies.
  • Prepare and review PDR/CDR presentation packages with Engineering and R&D management prior to internal management and customer review.
  • Works on high-complexity project or multiple projects with full cognizance of schedule requirements.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within scope of knowledge or refer to an employee of higher classification.
  • Participate in all phases of a project's life cycle including system architecture design, schematic creation, parts selection, prototype development, system integration, system verification and transitioning projects to other engineering teams, the manufacturing department, or product delivery to a customer.
  • Mentor other engineers, designers and drafters in the tools, techniques, and skills required to accomplish work assignments.

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree (M.S.) from a four-year college or university in the electronics or physics disciplines, and eight plus years related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Security Clearance.
  • MS Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet software, AutoCAD, Spice, PADS, AWR Microwave Office, Ansoft HFSS, and all other Software database.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain a U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
  • Pay Range: $133,567 - $170,149 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
