- Valkyrie Enterprises has need for a Test and Evaluation Engineer – Radio Frequency Engineer II who will be key in providing technical support to NAVWAR.
- Located in San Diego, CA
- Develops and applies advanced methods in the investigation and finds solutions of difficult military system design requirements and problems.
- Plans, conducts, and directs projects including coordinating the efforts of engineers and technical staff in the performance of assigned tasks.
- Reviews completion of work including system enhancements.
- Recommends changes in technical application.
- Evaluates system capabilities.
- Provides technical consultation to customer.
- Work closely with the Configuration Control Board in defining and implementing procedures for releasing new products throughout the entire life cycle.
- Provide change management and product configuration management guidance.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems, or other related engineering or computer science discipline and at least 3 years in related experience.
- Must have at least 3 years of experience or demonstrated Test and Evaluation (T&E) experience supporting programs and projects through the various acquisition milestones and testing phases (designing, planning, execution, analysis and reporting).
- Must have at least 3 years of experience or demonstrated Test and Evaluation (T&E) experience preparing, maintaining, updating and reviewing the full range of test and test-related documentation for adequacy specification/performance requirements compliance, conformity with mandatory guidance.
- Experience with open architecture constructs like Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA), Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence,
Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C5ISR)/Electronic Warfare Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS), Open Mission Systems (OMS), Open Communication Standard (OCS); utilizing the Universal Command and Control Interface(UCI), preferred. - Experience with LPD (Low Probability of Detection) and LPI (Low Probability of Intercept) waveforms and anti-jam capabilities communication capabilities, preferred.
- Must have an Active Top Secret DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain one.
- Occasional travel- less than 10%
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
