Job Title:::RF Engineer or RF Design Engineer or Radio Frequency Engineer

Location: Newport News, VA or Bellevue, WA or Bloomington, MN

Duration: 12+ Months

Working Model: Hybrid

Roles and Responsibilities

  • The RF Engineer is responsible for contributing to the RF Design of the regional wireless network.
  • Create site design RFDS and complete plumbing diagrams.
  • Utilize propagation tools and other RF related equipment such as MapInfo, Google Earth, ATOLL, for site candidate comparison, propagation and coverage review and selection, zoning and regulatory.
  • Prepare and submit E-911 filings.
  • Determination of regulatory coverage boundaries for extensions, FAA/FCC filings.
  • Prepare necessary zoning justification packages and regulatory filings for sites.
  • Works closely with real estate team to increase efficiency, minimize cost, and streamline processes related to site acquisition, leasing, and zoning submissions.
  • Conduct RFE analysis, generate required reports and documents, and ensure 100% compliance to RFE mitigation standards within the allotted time frame.
  • Analyze sites, post activation, to ensure project and database accuracy.
  • Automate processes when opportunities arise and share information with the teams.
  • Audit and correct internal databases to ensure accurate project implementation and reporting.
TOOLS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • ATOLL
  • Microsoft Word and Powerpoint
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced experience level)
  • Google Earth
  • FCC ASR and ULS databases
  • Visio
  • Tableau
  • Ixus, RAVE, and other EME tools
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's in Engineering
