Shift: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM (40 hours per week)
Compensation: $65,000 to $85,000/year
Location: Remote
Job Summary:
The SEO Specialist is responsible for enhancing online presence and driving traffic to our website. This role involves conducting keyword research, optimizing content, performing technical SEO audits, and developing effective link-building strategies. Analytical skills are crucial for monitoring website performance and making data-driven decisions to improve search engine rankings. Collaboration with content creators, developers, and other team members is essential to ensure SEO best practices are integrated across all digital channels. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for SEO and a proven track record of success.
A Day in the Life:
- Design and implement comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Conduct in-depth research to identify high-performing keywords and develop content strategies that align with user intent.
- Optimize website content, meta tags, headers, and internal linking structures to enhance relevance and ranking.
- Monitor and improve website performance, crawlability, indexation, and mobile usability in collaboration with developers.
- Work with content creators to produce high-quality, SEO-friendly articles, blogs, and multimedia.
- Track, analyze, and report on website traffic, rankings, and other key performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
- Develop and execute ethical link-building campaigns to increase site authority.
- Stay updated on SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to ensure strategies remain effective and compliant.
- Analyze competitor websites to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills:
- Proven experience in SEO (minimum 3-5 years preferred).
- Agency experience is preferable.
- Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, or Ahrefs.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and website architecture principles.
- WordPress development experience, preferably using Elementor templates.
- Experience creating, editing, and managing entities across our site using Google Tag Manager.
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Shopify).
- Knowledge of local SEO, schema markup, and voice search optimization is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with paid search (PPC) campaigns or integrating SEO with other digital marketing channels.
- Certifications in SEO, Google Analytics, or digital marketing strategies.
- Background in UX/UI design or CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization).
Salary and Benefits:
- $65,000 to $85,000 a year

Other Important Information You Should Know:
Ability to Work Remotely: The employee selected for this position will work their work schedule remotely.
Work Schedules: Ogle School supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility. For this role, there is a minimum 40-work week schedule, 5 days a week. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
