The Assistant Studio Manager  works alongside the studio leadership to actively promote the studio to prospective members, customers, and business and community partners. This position is responsible for ensuring that first time visitors to the studio have an overwhelmingly positive experience during your time in studio and achieving sales goals during your time in studio. The ideal candidate for this position is looking to utilize their expert customer service and communications to grow a  yoga community.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Lead Generation and Sales processes.

    • Ensure all incoming leads are contacted and qualified per established sales process. Book leads into classes and follow up to sell appropriate membership according to their needs.

    • Lead introductory class sales process and follow up.

    • Track daily activity and productivity.

    • Participate in local community events to generate leads.

    • Showcase extensive knowledge about our brand, offerings, and pricing to actively promote memberships.

  • Manage Customer Service & Member Retention needs.

    • Assist students in choosing classes that fit their goals by showing knowledge of our offerings.

    • Work front desk shifts at the studio.

    • Greet all members, guests and team members with the highest level of customer service.

    • Ensure all new members are contacted and welcome per established member retention process. Note member goals and follow up to ensure their studio experience is satisfactory in meeting their goals.

    • Answer calls and emails from members and prospects.

  • Assist in Managing Studio Operations.

    • Oversee studio cleanliness, including but not limited to: sweeping/mopping floors, sanitizing/organizing props, cleaning bathrooms, and common areas; manage maintenance of studio equipment; manage studio laundry. Manage schedule and payroll reporting for studio operations assistants.

    • Manage inventory and merchandise retail items.

    • Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude; promote and exemplify Company values, and represent Company objectives and interests to internal and external customers.

 
  • Self Management: 

    • Assume responsibility for developing marketing and selling skills, reviewing training materials and participating in staff meetings to support achievement of personal and studio goals. 

    • “Go the extra mile” to meet sales and provide exceptional customer service

    • Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.

Schedule

Minimum 25 hours per week. Maximum 30 hours per week.

  • Monday through Thursday 330pm to close

  • Saturday or Sunday 630am to 130pm

Pay Range

  • $18 - $20/hour based on experience; Monthly sales commission based on meeting minimum sales results.

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Retail Sales associate, Sales representative or similar role (i.e. Orangetheory fitness, Gym or health club front desk, Gap, Victoria's Secret)

  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices

  • Proficiency in English

  • Excellent phone skills

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills

  • A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus (high vibrations only!)

  • Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
