Job Description
The Assistant Studio Manager (ASM) will work together in partnership with the Studio Manager and Head Coach to ensure operational excellence of the Orangetheory Fitness product. The ASM will provide daily and weekend leadership and direction to the sales and fitness staff. This member will work directly with staff to accomplish sales and operations performance expectations.
The ASM will be responsible for lead generation and implementation of marketing strategies to increase membership performance of their assigned studio. This leader must possess a high caliber approach to staff development and performance management!
The ASM will also be directly responsible for overseeing all studio operations and act as the Manager on Duty in the absence of the Studio Manager to include supporting studio staff in the areas of training, development, and performance management (Sales Associates and Fitness Team).
Job Duties:
- Manage, monitor, develop and evaluate the performance of staff
- Work collaboratively with SM to properly manage and exceed all OTF sales goals
- Meet 20% of monthly performance during weekend work shifts
- Responsible for overseeing the sales process and systems with all staff. Lead and coordinate initial and ongoing sales drivers (studio events, outreach)
- Recruitment, hiring, training and scheduling of OTF studio staff in assigned location
- Train and mentor studio team members for ongoing success and future growth
- Assist in the management of disciplinary actions involving all OTF studio employees
- Responsible for meeting performance metrics (KPI's), revenue, ordering, inventory, payroll, cost controls and facilities maintenance
- Direct sales through company required outreach programs
- Provide timely and effective decision-making regarding customer service issues
- Plan and promote special events for the studio on a monthly basis, using OTF tools for effective outreach and community involvement
- Responsible for ensuring that the facility is clean, maintained and operationally efficient
- Cultivate and maintain increased OTF class size through scheduling tools
- Enforce OTF corporate policies, business practices, systems and processes.
- Consistently achieve 20 sales per month
- Expectation to work a minimum of one weekend day per week

- Customer service - responds promptly to studio facility needs, member requests for service and assistance, and anticipates the needs of the studio, staff and members
- High energy with a successful ability to motivate a large group of people
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to address/respond in a clear, concise, and respectful manner
- Independent thinker – ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement
- Effective decision making – ability to evaluate the possible outcomes and consequences of a decision and make decisions that are in the best interest of OTF
- Team player with a high interest to collaborate cross-functionally
- Must possess honesty, integrity, and accountability
Required experience:
- Sales experience is required
