You will lead an engineering and cross-functional team in charge of game development tools in Roblox Studio. Roblox Studio is a collaborative cross-platform IDE where all Roblox experiences are created. Together with the team, you’ll work on the features used by hundreds of thousands of Roblox developers every day.

You Will:

  1. Manage and mentor world-class engineers, focused on engineering excellence and personal and professional growth.
  2. Work with cross-disciplinary partners in Product, Design, and Art to best define and understand the goals of the features to be implemented.
  3. Own, deliver, and operate complex technical projects from the planning stage through execution.
  4. Maintain and improve existing engineering processes.

You Have:

  1. Experience: 8+ years in software engineering as an individual contributor, with 3+ years in technical leadership, developing and deploying complex, customer-facing software with a solid backend behind it.
  2. Leadership and excellence at working with others, giving feedback, and has demonstrated capabilities facilitating team success.
  3. Background in building products for software engineers, game developers, designers, 3D artists, or similar.
  4. Obsession with end-user experience.
  5. Impeccable problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  6. A Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range: $283,780 — $331,640 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
