Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to support the ServiceNow platform. This role involves creating, maintaining, and improving technical documentation for various ServiceNow modules and applications, ensuring clarity and usability for both technical and non-technical audiences. The position focuses on capturing technical details and transforming them into user-friendly materials, contributing to the success and efficiency of the ServiceNow platform and its related processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze technical requirements to produce clear, concise, and user-focused documentation for ServiceNow modules such as SecOps, IRM, and CAM.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture technical content and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain operational manuals, configuration documents, and process guides for the ServiceNow platform.
- Support Agile practices by providing documentation aligned with iterative development cycles and ensuring rapid updates.
- Contribute to the automation of activities, including those aligned with NIST RMF, through precise and actionable documentation.
- Enhance customer experience and success by presenting complex technical concepts in an accessible manner.
- Ensure documentation supports performance-based deliverables, emphasizing ServiceNow best practices and resiliency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Technical Communication, English, or a related field; or a combination of 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience with ServiceNow products, including familiarity with technical content development for ServiceNow modules and applications.
- Strong collaborative writing skills and ability to work with stakeholders to capture and refine technical information.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on technical accuracy and clarity.
- US Citizenship required.
Physical and Mental Qualifications:
- Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard)
- Able to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language
- Execute tasks independently and work as a team.
- Learns and memories routine tasks.
- Strong organizational, grammar, business correspondence, and self-management skills
