Essential Functions: What you’ll do:

• Produce technical designs using Inventor primarily, AutoCAD secondarily.
• Produce files necessary for CNC production.
• Ensure accuracy of dimensions, and ease of use and understanding of technical designs
• Provides all technical information necessary to manufacture the products without further clarification.
• Will validate and pre-plan with Plant Management Team on designs when needed.
• Designs structural components as per necessary code so that engineering stamp process is simplified.
• Questions manufacturing methods by optimizing structural components while not compromising on safety.
• Always seeking improved manufacturing methods to improve competitiveness.
• Works in conjunction with professional engineers to help optimize our designs.
• Produces drawings according to standards, specifications, and engineering requirements of customers.
• Initiates or attends “job meetings" with the manufacturing team and the Project Manager to clarify the details of production.
• Problem solves with Subcontractors on methods of fabrication and/or installation.
• Populate Methods of Manufacturing in ERP system

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in engineering technology or related field is preferred.
• High functioning ability and/or mastery in Autodesk Inventor is required. Training certification in Autodesk Inventor is preferred.
• Understanding of Building Code requirements for signage installation is preferred.
• Solid interpersonal skills and an ability to work with others or independently is required.
• Competency with Microsoft office package is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational skills, problem solving and able to meet deadlines is required.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit is beneficial.
