About the Role
TMH seeks a self-motivated, energetic user experience and design expert who wants to help accelerate the transition to zero-emission transportation by remotely joining our North American division, from Quebec. This UI/UX designer be part of our Product Management team, coordinating with our developers, customer facing roles, and customers themselves to ensure a smooth and easy to use experience across TMHs software platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion the user design and experience of the product, in close collaboration with the Product Manager, including leading all steps of the user experience from research to implementation, to provide an exemplary customer journey.
- Create wireframes, user flows, mockups and prototypes to evaluate and further develop your ideas and designs.
- Lead discovery & feedback sessions with customers, product managers and other stakeholders.
- Plan and coordinate user testing, including the selection of industry tools to manage user data collection and perform subsequent analysis.
- Collaborate with product owners and development teams to complete prioritized feature development.
- Participate in the daily activities of the Agile teams (scrums, planning meetings, reviews and retrospectives).
Requirements
- A few years of professional experience in user-focused UI/UX roles, with particular emphasis on the user experience of enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS).
- Demonstrated experience in designing a complex product in a simple and intuitive way while incorporating great visual aesthetics.
- Experience working in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator or other design/wireframe tools.
- Previous work in agile environment & design thinking.
- Understanding of Design Systems, their principles, processes and methodologies, including with regards to latest web technologies.
- Proven creativity in crafting original and elegant solutions for complex design challenges.
- Autonomy to own and drive the discovery, design, buy-in and delivery of projects.
- Experience conducting user interviews and leveraging those insights into your design work.
- Stellar communication skills (verbal & written) and collaborative approach to work alongside product managers, developers, users and other stakeholders, and receive their feedback.
- Organizational skills to juggle a shifting workload with competing priorities.
- A design portfolio we can review.
- Being a resident of Quebec.
- Interest in learning more about the transportation electrification space.
Bonus points:
- Experience in a customer facing role, ideally working directly with large accounts for design testing and user feedback sessions.
- Experience working with an energy or transportation software.
- Demonstrated ability to stay current with and apply the latest UI/UX design trends in your work.
- Experience using Jira, Miro, and Confluence.
- A degree in Design (e.g. Interaction, Graphics or Industrial), UX, IT, CS or Engineering, or equivalent work experience
