UX Strategist

The Opportunity:

Are you looking to transform the way a user interacts with applications and data science solutions? As a UX strategist, you put yourself in the user's place to understand the best ways they can engage with the system. We're looking for someone creative like you to develop the ultimate user experience (UX).

In this role, you'll collaborate with UX designers, developers, and product managers to understand your clients' vision and their users' needs. Working on an Agile team, you'll act as a storyteller, translating research into actionable user insights. You'll lead the full spectrum of the digital creative process, including information architecture, interface design, and product implementation and development.Your experience with information architecture, interface design, and product implementation and development will help you advocate for the prioritizations of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements while keeping the end-user at the center of your work.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with user centered design

  • 2+ years of experience with mockup design tools, including Adobe XD, Sketch, Axure, or Figma

  • 1+ years of experience with using and developing in design systems and using CSS, LESS, or SCSS

  • Experience in user-centered design processes and engaging with users to gather qualitative and quantitative research data

  • Experience with working in an Agile environment

  • Experience in engaging with customers to interpret requirements and architect solutions

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Lean UX

  • Experience with data visualizations and geospatial application designs

  • Experience with programming in modern JavaScript frameworks, includingAngular,React, orVueJS

  • Experience with Node and Express

  • Ability to display a portfolio of design examples

  • Master's degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
