Description We are looking for a strategic Senior Manager of UX Design to lead a team of talented designers crafting thoughtful consumer-facing experiences within the Amazon's Buy with Prime design team. Buy with Prime allows millions of U.S.-based Prime members to shop directly from brands' online stores while getting Prime shopping benefits with the convenient and trusted experience they expect from Amazon. In collaboration with our partner platforms and brands, we want to ensure that the Prime experience seamlessly enhances carefully curated shopping journeys, while aligning with their values. You will work with our internal teams and our external partners at e-commerce service providers or marquee brands to integrate Prime experiences into their consumer offerings. To be successful in this role, you must be an empathetic leader who prioritizes the success of their team, has a proven track record in coaching and mentoring highly motivated designers, excels at creative problem solving, working through ambiguity, and setting up structure to meet long-term business goals. You will not only help scale the team, but work with leaders at well-established e-commerce partners to achieve harmony between their shopping experiences and our solutions. Strategic management and influencing teams is critical to be successful in the role. Our team consists of highly specialized UX Designers, Visual Designers, Researchers, and Program Managers, collaborating with internal and external teams to deliver innovative customer-facing experiences to Prime members. As a Senior UX Design Manager, you will lead a team of individual contributors, often working across disciplines, to support a suite of products within the Buy with Prime program. You will be responsible for defining the end-to-end customer experience vision and ensuring its delivery across your team. You will drive clarity in complexity, reduce bureaucracy, and remove blockers to move the organization forward. Importantly, you will set the CX bar for your organization, champion continuous innovation, and drive better customer experiences across our product and engineering teams. You will insist on operational efficiency, create mechanisms to measure and drive influence and impact, and build strong, diverse teams with complementary skills. Basic Qualifications 10+ years of design experience 5+ years of leading multi-discipline Design teams (ie. visual design, interaction design, user research, etc.) experience Experience leading design teams of 5 to 10 or more direct reports Experience leading a diverse team in the delivery of experiences from end to end (user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity visuals) Preferred Qualifications Experience presenting to and effectively advising senior leaders outside of design Experience managing teams, and collaborating with partners, across multiple time zones Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $162,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $268,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
