As a Video Telecommunications Specialist II in San Antonio, TX, you will be trusted to work with a variety of different technologies. You will be responsible for providing Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and Secure Video Teleconferencing Support (SVTC). HOW A VIDEO TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Provide VTC and SVTC support for Government owned hardware and software Installation and maintenance Video Conferencing equipment Assist the Video Network Center (VNC) with on-site services and support Assist with incident management, problem management, CM and ITSM related tasks as required using MHS ServiceNow ITSM suite of tools Assist with or perform VTC end point upgrades (HW/SW) as required with GFE Install, configure, and implement applicable IA security policies, guidelines, and requirements such as, but not limited to the Defense Information Services Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and IA Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patches Load and configure DHA VNC approved IPV conferencing software applications onto IPV network appliances or customer End User Devices (EUDs) Assist the DHA VNC in supporting and maintaining enterprise VTC/SVTC infrastructure located at JBSA geographic locations and sites; this includes but is not limited to bridges and other hardware appliances and applications supporting audio and video conferencing services Update existing documentation and create new documentation as required Perform pre-conference coordination activities, schedule, connect, and monitor VTC/SVTC calls including set up and operations of audio and video equipment including AV racks, touch panels, microphones, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards, and related electronic equipment for meetings, presentations, and conferences. Provide support for the receipt, and inventory management of mobile devices Provision accounts to align with DHA Enterprise Support group policies Deploy devices to users and assist with e-mail services (as required) Train users on basic device features and functionality Troubleshoot mobile device interoperability with Enterprise Email and /or Exchange mail server issues, (as required) Contact manufacturers of approved and deployed equipment for support (as necessary) Assist with the management and monitoring servers, Network devices, circuits and supporting infrastructure for performance and availability Assist with the installation of all software, hardware, and security upgrade and patches, as required by the manufacturer, DHA, or Governmental IA support agencies Assist with ensuring the backup and recovery of all Apple and Android devices WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of equivalent experience Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience Video Teleconference (VTC) and Secure Video Teleconference (SVTC) support Certifications: Applicable ADP/IT-II Cyber certifications (Security+) Technical skills: Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow Demonstrated experience managing Apple and/or Android mobile devices Intermediate experience with MS Office products (E.g., Word, PowerPoint, Access) Security clearance: Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting Preferred: Experience managing VTC equipment in a DoD Healthcare environment Location: On Customer Site Travel: Some local travel may be required Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40 Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
