We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Video Production Department Manager to lead our video production team in the advertising industry. The ideal candidate will have over five years of hands-on experience in video production, managing teams, and working with clients to deliver high-quality video content. As a key member of our team, you will oversee video production projects from concept to completion while ensuring timelines, budgets, and client expectations are met. This is a remote position with occasional travel to our on-site locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership and Management:

    • Manage and lead a team of video producers, editors, videographers, and other production staff.
    • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for the team.
    • Ensure smooth daily operations of the video production department.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including creative, marketing, and strategy departments to align on project goals.
  2. Project Oversight and Execution:

    • Oversee video production projects from pre-production to post-production, ensuring high standards of quality and creativity.
    • Collaborate with clients, creative directors, and project managers to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
    • Schedule and allocate resources efficiently, ensuring timely completion of all video projects.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the production process.
  3. Client Relations and Communication:

    • Act as the main point of contact for clients during video production projects, maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout.
    • Manage client expectations, providing regular updates on progress and adjusting as needed to meet evolving needs.
    • Handle client feedback and incorporate revisions into final deliverables.
  4. Creative Direction and Innovation:

    • Ensure all video content aligns with the brand’s messaging and strategic objectives.
    • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in video production and advertising, implementing new techniques and creative solutions.
    • Collaborate on the creative development of concepts for video campaigns that will resonate with target audiences.
  5. Budget and Resource Management:

    • Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, equipment, and crew.
    • Monitor and control costs throughout the production process, ensuring projects stay within budget.
    • Negotiate with vendors and external contractors as needed.
  6. Quality Control and Review:

    • Ensure the final video products meet the highest quality standards.
    • Review drafts and final cuts to ensure they align with client expectations and production guidelines.
    • Conduct regular reviews of production workflows and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in video production, preferably within the advertising industry.
  • Proven experience in leading video production teams and managing multiple projects.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of video production expertise (corporate, commercial, digital media, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of video production tools and software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment while managing on-site production needs as required.
  • Familiarity with both traditional and digital video formats, including social media platforms.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Experience with live-streaming and event video production.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as virtual reality (VR), 360°ree; video, or drone videography.
  • Understanding of SEO and video optimization for digital platforms.
