As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. Our team fuels the technology behind working with content partners to get their entertainment into our Prime Video/Amazon ecosystem, processed, transformed, packaged, and ultimately distributed to every single customer’s Prime Video application. Our products touch every part of the content lifecycle, and interface both with our 3P partner content creators and distributors, and with end streaming customer interfaces. As a Principal Product Manager-Tech, you’ll collaborate with business, design, data, and engineering teams across Prime Video to build products that innovate in this area, inspiring not only our content partners but the entertainment industry itself. You’ll work on projects that are fast paced, deeply technical, conceptually challenging, and varied.

A successful candidate will be able to articulate and drive a strategic vision, work cross-functionally across key stakeholders, and partner with dedicated engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions that grow selection for Prime Video's customers. You’ll have a consistent track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial business environment. This leader must have strong written and verbal communications skills, the ability to manage and influence others through both directness and empathy, and a strong understanding of collaboration across both technical and entertainment forward cultures.

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
  • Experience leveraging science based solutions as an input into product roadmap development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
