Sports Strategy Manager, Prime Video Sports
PV Sports is seeking a strategic and analytical candidate who can help develop and drive Amazon’s US Sports strategy. PV Sports offers a growing selection of live sports content to Amazon customers in the US, including NFL Thursday Night Football, NBA (starting in 2025), NASCAR (starting in 2025), WNBA, NWSL, Premier Boxing Champions, ONE Championship, and the New York Yankees, among others.
The ideal candidate is a data-driven thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment that often requires solving problems with ambiguity. This individual will be comfortable juggling multiple priorities and working with stakeholders across different areas of Amazon, including Partnerships, Finance, Marketing, Production, Ad Sales, Product/Tech, and Research.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Finance and Partnerships teams to build models and write documents during evaluations of potential live sports opportunities.
- Lead deep-dive analyses around sports fans, content types, distribution methods, and more to inform our go-forward US Sports strategy.
- Perform extensive competitive benchmarking analyses, and identify and elevate noteworthy trends for a senior audience.
- Be a source-of-truth for internal stakeholders on the performance of our overall US Sports business, performance of specific properties, and key learnings across the business.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, and/or strategy/business development at a major media, sports, or technology company.
- Experience using complex modeling and analysis to inform key business decisions.
- Highly proficient in Excel.
- Experience with verbal and written communication for senior audiences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience with content strategy/evaluation at a streaming service, media company, or sports property.
- Avid sports fan.
