Job Summary

The Cajon Valley Union School District is hiring teachers to provide supplemental instruction in the area of Visual and Performing Arts at our elementary schools. The subject area may be Visual Arts, Music (Vocal or Instrumental), or Performing Arts (Drama/Theater or Dance). An Art Credential (Visual Arts), Music Credential (Music), Drama or English Credential (Drama/Theater), Physical Education or Dance (Dance) are preferred. However, Education Code 44258.7 allows teachers to teach an elective outside their credential authorization in an area for which they have special skills or preparation. We will accept applications from teachers with a Multiple Subject or Single Subject Credential who consent to work outside of their credential area. If you are interested in working outside of your credential area, please be sure your cover letter states which subjects(s) you are interested in and describes your education, experience/background that makes you a good candidate for the position.

Requirements / Qualifications

In order to pass paper screening, applications must include all of the documents listed below. Please do not include additional documents that are not listed below.

  • Credential Copy (Multiple Subject Credential issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing ; a status letter from your university is acceptable in lieu of the credential as long as the letter indicates you are on track to receive the credential prior to August 2024.)
  • English Learner Authorization (If EL authorization is embedded in teaching credential be sure you attach the proper version of your credential that includes detail; otherwise attach EL authorization as a separate document.)
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 letters required)
