We are interviewing candidates who are passionate about empowering visually impaired high school students. This role involves working closely with educators, administrators, and families to provide essential support and specialized instruction. You will have the unique opportunity to contribute to student success through collaborative efforts and tailored educational programs.

Role Overview:

• Deliver Braille instruction and other literacy skills
• Teach the use of adaptive technology and assistive devices
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials for accessibility
• Complete assessments to determine students' needs and monitor progress
• Partner with general education teachers, administrators, and families
• Advocate for the needs and rights of visually impaired students
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and records
• Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for visually impaired students

Requirements

• Florida State Teaching Certification (endorsement for Teaching Visually Impaired)
• Experience in Braille instruction
• Proficiency with adaptive technology
• Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs
