Job Description:

  • This position supports the Web Team which is responsible for the appearance, maintenance, functionality and security of the agencys websites.
  • This role requires proficiency in graphic design software (i.e. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop) in order to design website layouts, prepare images/documents for posting, as well as proficiency in html/css/ javascript.
  • Proficiency in WordPress is required.
  • This position will deal directly with internal clients.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner are a must.
Duties:

Website Development and Maintenance:
  • Support and maintain the agencys internal and external websites and web applications.
  • Design and develop websites within client Web Team guidelines.
  • pply graphic design skills to create *** visuals.
  • Utilize agency-specified applications to create web-ready graphics.
  • Design web forms.
  • Design websites to improve functionality; confirm integration with other systems; install and test content.
  • Update and maintain time-sensitive material.
  • Obtain copyright clearances where required.
  • Deliver web pages to client/user as requested; disposes of outdated information/files; discusses obvious content errors with clients and corrects as necessary; recommends changes in editorial policy and site design.
  • Revise content to ensure its quality, including accuracy, authority, clarity, accessibility, and usability.
  • Perform analysis, design, development, and testing of usable, accessible web applications.
  • Identify multimedia content needed to support or work alongside textual content. Coordinates with multimedia specialists as necessary.
  • Ensure quality, compliance, usability, accessibility, copyright, and other legal compliance. Compiles and analyzes website usage statistics.
Customer Service:
  • Please provide technical assistance by responding to questions about errors, problems, or questions about collaboration platform systems.
  • Provides technical leadership and training to customers and partners.
  • Develop strong client relationships and demonstrate high commitment to client success.
  • The position works with a high degree of independence.
  • Seeks guidance from supervisor for politically sensitive, legal or controversial matters as well as technical/design issues.
  • Graduate from an accredited College or University with a degree in Communication Arts or a related field preferred and equivalent WordPress/Website Design training and experience.
  • Detail-oriented with extensive knowledge of WordPress, Photoshop, and CSS.
  • Experience creating forums, lists, document libraries, and forms.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert business requirements into an accessible website layout.
  • Experience with website design and development.
  • Experience with project management.
