SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The web and digital marketing specialist works under the instruction of the director of marketing and communications and in connection with the marketing team to manage the front-end and back-end of all online functions, including the UGM website, online donations, email marketing, lead generation, and digital integrations. The web specialist executes web design and content in collaboration with the multimedia specialist, graphic designer, content and communications specialist, and ministry brand specialist, managing email workflows, managing and troubleshooting the online donation platform, and working with outside agencies to ensure the smooth operation of UGM's online tools. The web specialist also performs research, measurement, and analysis of UGM's online fundraising and marketing efforts.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Result Area #1: Marketing Strategy
- Collaborate and brainstorm with the team to develop marketing plans and fundraising strategies for the organization, particularly regarding the use of website content and digital advertising.
- Assist team in a unified understanding of the target audience, personas, and key organizational relationships.
- Generate ideas and the strategic implementation of those ideas in order to expand UGM's donor base and increase the quality of our existing donors' experience through advertising, community engagement, and events.
- Help draft creative briefs with the team to determine the overall scope of projects.
- Attend and engage in regular team meetings and trainings for strategic planning and professional development.
- Develop relationships throughout the ministry to streamline work production and create more meaningful, effective engagement based on their needs.
- Translate the collective vision of the team into viable web content, forms, and emails for campaigns, fundraising efforts, and general online communications.
- Maintain and update UGM websites using HTML and CSS on various content management systems optimized for both desktop and mobile, including back-end upkeep such as page indexing, SEO, API integrations, and DNS records.
- Troubleshoot various web-related issues, communicating with our CRM account reps and website developer.
- Manage and optimize donation platform functionality and user experience.
- Ensure all website and email content is appropriately formatted, optimized, and aligns with UGM's brand identity.
- Oversee process for UGM enterprises posting inventory on the website.
- Maintain and improve online standard operating procedures to streamline current and future efforts.
- Collaborate with outside agency to improve and maintain Google Ads performance and maximize digital ad efforts.
- Ensure each UGM location is current and well-represented on various online profiles - Google Business, Apple Maps, Yelp, etc.
- Manage online contacts, strategize segmentation efforts, and develop/manage workflows in CRM (Virtuous) to nurture leads in each stage of the donor's journey.
- Perform regular analysis of online performance in collaboration with advertising agency and Donation Processing department (Google Analytics, HubSpot Analytics, social media analytics, etc.)
- Integrate new tools and plugins that support marketing automation, lead generation, and user experience.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Donation Processing team in A/B testing, surveys, and other growth initiatives.
- Share performance stats and observations with team on a regular basis to inform future decisions, encouraging growth in terms of website traffic, conversions, and online donors.
- Setup and manage segment codes and UTMs for tracking funding and traffic through various media, such as email, direct mail, social media, pop-ups, and landing pages.
- Work to educate team (particularly content specialist and marketing director) with regard to website SEO.
- Stay informed of current digital marketing trends, best practices, tools, and strategies.
- Research, evaluate, and adopt new software and practices as necessary to increase efficiency and relevancy.
- Grounded and committed Christian: able and willing to model servant-leadership and interested in being part of a ministry to the poor, homeless, drug addicted and mentally ill.
- Active member of the body of Christ, in accordance with the Union Gospel Mission Statement of Purpose, Statement of Vision and Statement of Faith.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Web Development, Digital Marketing, UX/UI, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Basic web management and coding skills (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) with front-end and back-end proficiency.
- Familiarity with API integration.
- Experience using a Content Management System (CMS), lead generation, and email workflows.
- Experience with SEO, data, web, and Google Analytics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and project management software.
