Reporting to the Sr. Director, Brand Design, the Senior Designer, Digital & Web will create inspiring and engaging digital touchpoints that bring the Databricks brand to life online.
We are looking for a hands-on designer who excels and has a track record in creating innovative, scalable digital experiences and who is skilled in web and digital design best practices. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values forward-thinking design and creativity.
The impact you will have:
- Design and maintain digital design systems, templates, grid structures, and layout principles that align with the Databricks brand language across web platforms.
- Deliver engaging and user-friendly digital experiences, including websites, landing pages, emails, and online campaigns.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, web) to ensure cohesive brand execution across all digital touchpoints.
- Maintain and evolve the Databricks digital presence, ensuring it delivers on our design and brand attributes and remains fresh, modern, and relevant across all platforms.
- Translate business goals into compelling digital design solutions that are optimized for performance, accessibility, innovation, and SEO.
- Continually innovate and introduce fresh approaches to enhance the user experience and visual impact of Databricks' digital assets.
- 6-10 years of digital and web design experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in designing for web, email, social media, and other digital platforms.
- Expertise in digital design fundamentals, including typography, color theory, grid systems, and layout principles.
- Proven experience in designing and maintaining scalable design systems that work across multiple digital platforms.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and ability to apply them effectively in web and mobile design.
- Hands-on knowledge of web development principles, processes, and boundaries, with the ability to create design assets that developers can efficiently execute.
- Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar tools plus the willingness and ability to adopt new tools as required.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic web development concepts (coding is not required, but an understanding of what is feasible and effective is essential).
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present and discuss your design rationale with stakeholders and team members in person or remotely.
- Ability to work quickly through multiple iterations, while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring design solutions align with business goals and functional requirements.
- Experience working in collaborative environments, with remote teams or in-person, and adapting to new tools and processes as needed.
Pay Range Transparency
Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
