Primary Responsibilities
- Provides leadership, guidance, and performance management to a team of web personnel, ensuring a cohesive and productive work environment
- Oversees the planning, building, execution, and completion of web-related projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals and timelines
- Supervises the creation, maintenance, and optimization of websites, ensuring they meet design and functionality standards
- Coordinates the creation and management of web content, ensuring it is accurate, relevant, and up-to-date
- Stays informed about emerging web technologies, trends, and best practices
- Provides technical guidance to the team and makes decisions on technology adoption
- Works closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and content creators to ensure seamless integration of web initiatives with overall business strategies
- Monitors website performance metrics and analytics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance user experience
- Fosters the professional growth of the web team through training programs, skill development initiatives, and performance reviews
- Prioritizes and implements strategies to enhance the overall user experience on websites, improving usability and accessibility
- Facilitates effective communication within the team, department leadership, and stakeholders
- Provides regular updates on project status, challenges, and successes
- Addresses and resolves technical issues, bugs, and other challenges that may arise during website development and maintenance
- Implements quality assurance processes to ensure that websites meet established standards and are free of errors
- Oversees and manages the web ticketing system ensuring tickets are completed on time and correctly
- Regularly provides reporting on SEO performance metrics, adjusting strategies based on data-driven insights to achieve desired search engine ranking goals
- Provides regular reporting on web team productivity, project updates, ticket system, and website analytics
- Bachelor's degree in web development, computer science, marketing, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a team of direct and indirect reports
- Ability to effectively communicate technical procedures and concepts, both in writing and verbally, to individuals and groups with or without a technical background
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, understand, and report on data analytics concerning SEO and UX
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities in a deadline-oriented environment; including being highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate project management with stakeholders and web team
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time while meeting assigned deadlines
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Velocity
- Working knowledge of content management systems (CMS), like Cascade
- Working knowledge of site architecture, keyword mapping, and strategic site review
- Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console
- Knowledge of SEO platforms, like Brightedge.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards as described in WCAG 2.0
- Possess excellent initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, independent judgment, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic content development planning, analysis, and dissemination
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to providing excellent customer service
