Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Technical Writer to join our team! In this role, you will advise management on and oversee the development and publication of security policies, standard operating procedures, documents, papers, and other information. You will use grammar references and agency communications policy.

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Work with management to create policy documentation, guides, and manuals.
  2. Edit draft documents to ensure consistency within the document.
  3. Write and/or edit documents and policies.
  4. Prepare documents for printing.
  5. Maintain electronic files of document drafts and final versions.
  6. Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, content, format, and style.
  7. Collaborate with subject matter experts to create, edit, and revise materials.
  8. Perform other writing duties as assigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  1. 3-5 years overall experience and a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  2. Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience in technical writing, reviewing, and/or editing of technical documentation in business, government, or industry.
  3. Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  4. Demonstrated formal editing experience.
  5. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to various audiences.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
