Job Description
Florida Association of Court Clerks and Comptrollers/CiviTek Solutions, located in Tallahassee, Florida, is actively recruiting for a Technical Report Writer.
Florida Association of Court Clerks & Comptrollers is a statewide, non-profit member association. The association is comprised of the Florida Clerks of the Circuit Court and Comptrollers. FACC Services Group, LLC, dba CiviTek Solutions was established in 1991 to provide financial and technical services for the Clerks of Circuit Court and Comptrollers of the State of Florida. CiviTek is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Florida Association of Court Clerks, Inc. (FCCC).
This position is responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing reports and document templates to support the organization’s operational and strategic objectives. This role requires advanced proficiency in Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Word Mail Merge to design and deliver accurate standard and customized reports. The Report Writer will collaborate closely with Project Analysts and Project Managers to gather requirements, translate them into effective reporting solutions, and ensure data quality.
Starting salary $65,000. Relocation assistance and sponsorship are not available.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Report Development and Maintenance:
- Design, develop, and maintain reports using Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to support business needs.
- Create and update Word Mail Merge templates for standardized document generation and communications.
- Data Querying and Analysis:
- Use SQL to query databases and validate report accuracy.
- Interpret and analyze data, ensuring the clarity, reliability, and relevance of reports for end-users.
- Collaboration and Requirement Gathering:
- Collaborate with team members to understand reporting needs, gather requirements, and deliver customized reporting solutions.
- Act as a point of contact for report-related queries, providing clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
- Documentation and Process Management:
- Document report requirements, data sources, and methodologies for future reference and ensure compliance with data governance standards.
- Maintain a repository of reports and templates for easy access and consistency.
- Training and Support:
- Provide training to end-users on report interpretation, self-service features, and best practices.
- Handle assigned customer support tickets to fulfill requests for standard or customized report creation and to troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing reports.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, data quality, and user experience.
- Stay updated with the latest features in Crystal Reports, SSRS, and Word Mail Merge to enhance reporting capabilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Technical Skills:
- Intermediate SQL querying skills for data analysis.
- Strong proficiency with Crystal Reports and SSRS reporting tools.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data, troubleshoot issues, and provide actionable insights.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex data and report requirements clearly.
Attention to Detail: Commitment to data accuracy and high attention to detail.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience plus 2-4 years of experience in report writing.
Strong proficiency in Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is required.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, particularly with Mail Merge functions for document generation.
