Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing within a software development or cybersecurity environment, with a particular focus on Zero Trust principles and frameworks. This role requires the ability to develop comprehensive policies, procedures, and technical documentation tailored for software products, as well as the ability to analyze and understand complex software architectures and technical specifications.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Secret clearance.
Rate: $35 - $50 / hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive Zero Trust policies, procedures, and technical documentation tailored for software products.
- Define and document Zero Trust maturity levels specific to the company's software development processes.
- Create detailed reports on software security posture, including key findings, risks, potential roadblocks, and compliance-specific recommendations.
- Develop clear and actionable documentation to guide the implementation of Zero Trust within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Assist in the successful deployment of Zscaler by providing necessary documentation and support.
Experience Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably within a software development or cybersecurity environment.
- Solid understanding of Zero Trust principles and frameworks (NIST 800-207).
- Experience in developing policy, technical documentation, whitepapers, or other materials focused on cybersecurity.
- Ability to analyze and understand complex software architectures and technical specifications.
- Active Secret Clearance.

Education Requirements:
