Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.
 
Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Technical Writer III to join our client.

Contract Dates: 12 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Range: $49.10 to $55.93 per hour
Business Hours: Monday to Friday 
Location: Toronto, ON 2 days a week- flexible for onsite days

Job Responsibilities: The Technical Writer’s role is to develop written information about the organization’s computing systems that aid in their development, use, and support. Outputs will include a range of documents to be read by both technical and non-technical personnel across all departments. Coordinate technical writers; assume responsibility for their activities. Ensure adherence to organization’s procedures and standards. Establish organization’s priorities for development. Ensure proper identification and dissemination of resource material. Coordinate staff information and provide update meetings. SKILLS: Plans, coordinates, and supervises complex informatics assignments; designs and applies new methods and procedures; may supervise staff; University degree or college diploma with experience in the IT industry

SUMMARY OF DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Output delivery
Test plan, test case, requirement documentation experience
Need to go through processes
Capture test case
Minute reporting
Technical specification for automation

MUST HAVE:
1.) Tech writing- 5 to 7 years - strong IT knowledge
2.) Delivery experience– test plans, test case, requirement documentation experience, meeting minutes
3.) project experience

NICE TO HAVE
1.) Cryptographic – (strong nice to have!)
2.) Banking (nice to have but more focused on skills).
